More About Judy

A lifelong resident of New Jersey and a part-time resident of Florida for over thirty-five years, Judy Stach’s intimate understanding of life along the shore is reflected in her oil paintings of seascapes and landscapes which come alive with children at play, sailboats breezing by and gardeners lovingly tending flowers. Her painting style is impressionist/realist, painting from real life (en plein air) and photographs, often combining both techniques to complete a painting using the full range of colors, values and light found only in nature.

Judy is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, Audubon Artists and plein Air Florida. She is also an Emeritus Member of the Salmagundi Club in New York City and Founder and Co-President of the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast. Also, in the 2020 Spring edition of Jersey Shore Magazine, an eight-page retrospective entitled “The Clamdigger’s Daughter” appeared along with the cover page painting.
